# Monster Bash — shareware Episode 1

## Why this is hosted here

Episode 1 is the freely-distributable shareware episode. The included
VENDOR.DOC permits distributing the shareware episode unmodified and in its
entirety, and forbids distributing any registered version or any episode other
than #1 — so only Episode 1 is here.

Episodes 2 and 3 were the commercial purchase and are NOT included. The full
game is still sold on Steam and GOG.

That package ships a DOS installer wrapping a proprietary archive. The files
were obtained by running the original INSTALL.EXE inside our own DOSBox
runtime, which produced a PKSFX self-extractor (BASH.EXE) that standard unzip
could then read — the game's own tooling did the unpacking, nothing was
reverse-engineered or modified.

Original 1993 game files plus a `.jsdos/dosbox.conf` DOSBox configuration.
Catalog/BBS/dealer executables were removed; VENDOR.DOC and ORDER.FRM are
retained as the licence requires.
