SkyRoads — Bluemoon Interactive's 1993 cult classic from Estonia, where you drive a small spacecraft along narrow suspended roads through 30 levels of alien skies. Part racer, part precision-jumping puzzle, and famous for being brutally hard in the friendliest possible way. Bluemoon released it as freeware, so the complete game is hosted here — click Play and it boots in your browser.

How it works & what to expect

This is the original DOS release running in a WebAssembly build of DOSBox. The package is small (~600 KB), so it boots in seconds. Levels are short and restart instantly, which is just as well — you will crash a lot. Fuel and oxygen both drain as you drive, so hesitation costs as much as recklessness.

Playing tips

Jump distance scales with your speed at takeoff, so most levels are about setting up the right approach speed rather than reacting quickly. Fuel and oxygen both drain as you drive — hesitating costs as much as being reckless.

Why it's free

Bluemoon Interactive released SkyRoads (and the Christmas Special) as freeware, and it has been distributed at no charge ever since. There's no shareware episode split here — what you're playing is the full game.

Yes. Bluemoon Interactive released it as freeware, so the complete game is legal to host, play and share. Nothing is held back behind a purchase.

What are the controls?

Left and Right steer, Up accelerates, Down brakes, and Space jumps. Jump distance scales with your speed, so approach speed matters more than reflexes on most levels.

Can I play on a phone?

Yes, a touch d-pad with JUMP and BRAKE appears under the game on touch devices.
